Current Worship series

The Potter's Wheel Shaping a New Foundation.png

We’re thrilled to invite you to The Potter’s Wheel: Shaping a New Foundation, a four-week worship series starting January 12, 2025! Over the course of the series, we will explore themes of spiritual renewal, growth, and community through the powerful imagery of pottery, emphasizing God’s transformative work in our lives.

Week 1: Laying the Foundation (Jan 12)
We begin by embracing the promise of new beginnings. God is making something new in us, just as a potter starts with a solid foundation to create a masterpiece. We’ll reflect on the importance of laying a strong spiritual foundation and welcoming God’s work in our lives.
Scripture: Isaiah 43:18-19, Luke 5:33-39

Week 2: Staying the Course (Jan 19)
The potter’s wheel spins, and we’re reminded that spiritual growth takes patience, persistence, and active participation. Just as pottery requires time and focus, so too does our journey of faith. In this week, we’ll focus on how we stay faithful and keep our eyes fixed on God’s plan despite obstacles.
Scripture: Philippians 3:12-14, Hebrews 12:1-4

Week 3: Reclaiming Our Focus (Jan 26)
Sometimes, the potter must restart—reform the clay to get back on track. In this week, we’ll reflect on the power of repentance and God’s grace in renewing us when we stray. Just as a potter reshapes clay, God invites us to start anew.
Scripture: Psalm 51:10-12, Luke 15:11-24

Week 4: Igniting Community: Everyone’s Role (Feb 2)
Once the pottery has taken shape, it’s time to fire it in the kiln. In this final week, we’ll explore the vital role of community in our spiritual growth. Just as pottery becomes complete when it’s fired, our faith journey finds fulfillment in connection with others. We’ll celebrate the diverse gifts of our church community and encourage each person to play a part in shaping who we are called to be.
Scripture: Acts 2:42-47, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27

Throughout the series, we’ll offer opportunities to engage with the themes through interactive acts, like holding pieces of clay or writing prayers for renewal. This is a series for anyone seeking to deepen their faith, embrace God’s transformative work, and play an active role in shaping a vibrant church community.

Join us for this exciting journey of spiritual renewal!

In conjunction with The Potter’s Wheel: Shaping a New Foundation, we invite you to continue the conversation after each service with Clay Conversations. These post-service gatherings offer a space for reflection and connection, where we’ll delve deeper into the themes of the message we’ve just heard. Whether you’re in person or joining us on Zoom, this time will be an opportunity to share insights, ask questions, and reflect on how God is shaping us individually and as a community.

Coffee and brunch will be provided in the fellowship hall of the church, and we encourage you to come, connect, and engage in this enriching discussion.

We look forward to hearing how God is shaping your journey!
